i wouldn't expect it to be long term there gonna catch on soon, also we might see less items with a big diference as they will start copying asda in there offers and less bogofs

I doubt it is anywhere near that about - I wager it is under 10,000. Furthermore, it isn't really costing Tesco anything because it will draw people into the stores, and not everyone is going to be as price savvy as those you find here, so will put in over-priced items with under-priced and therefore not get a DTD voucher. Furthermore, Tesco can inflate prices and many will think Tesco is cheaper because they have this offer and customers will assume that Tesco must be cheaper, otherwise why would they have such an offer. The fact a few will get DTD vouchers and tell their mates will bring people into Tesco. Quite clever marketing really. But I'm not playing!! Even for those who get a DTD voucher - Tesco don't really lose out, because customers still have to come back in store to use their vouchers.

From my experience I'd say it's safer to buy things that are listed on tesco's price checker as this is what they use to compare your shop(I think)... I did two shops so far and got two vouchers of the total value of the shops I did(a few pounds less as I also bought bombay saphire but works out as a bargain anyway if you calculate your items well). 1st shop I bought: bombay saphire, banrock wine and one airwick reed, paid 40.09(with airwick coupon) got 32.18 dtd voucher, 2nd shop I bought 2 pepsi max, sprite zero, 1 pringles tub, 1 airwick plug in, 1 seriously strong cheddar, 2 dairylea cheese 8's, cornetto enigma 4's and kellogs honey loops, paid 25.71(with 2 dairylea coupons) got 27.34 dtd voucher hth and be careful with bogof offers in tesco as if you buy 2 items on it they will count it as half price and compare with asda's half price offer(like the pringles, airwick, etc)

Just to note, I bought the white ariel stain remover and it was not compared.

Things that were compared however,
Kellogg's Start, 500g Kelloggs cornflakes, Johnsons baby wipes refil, Princes tuna, Dairylea strips and Ristorante pizzas. hope this helps

the ariels compared on there own price checker so i'd email them about that

and yes i got the shampoo and it compared it at £4

all I can find on the price checker is Tresemme Smooth Memory Spray 250ml, Tesco- £4.80 Asda-£2.40

no, the big 900ml ones, they are 2 for 4.00 in asda and around 4.50 one in Tesco, I was only wonering id they respect asda's multibuy offers but it seems they do
