Help please regarding bt broadband talk

I have just set this up and connected my hub phone up. I have set the settings so that all phones ring when I receive a call on either the landline or the hub phone.

What I can't work out is if I make a call from my ordinary landline is this now automatically sent via my hub. The only reason I ask is because I unplug my hub at night so my son cannot use it all night. Does this mean I won't have a landline phone if the hub is disconnected. Sorry if this sounds stupid but technology baffles me.

Comments

  • If you have your main telephone plugged into the filter at the main socket then this will still work with the hub switched off but calls from that phone will be charged at your normal landline rates. If you have plugged your phone into the back of the hub then it will not work with the hub switched off.
