Need new phone, contract not yet up! Orange

Hi

My 24month contract is not up with Orange until August though online its telling me I can upgrade from May - I am guessing in May I won't get a very good deal so will have to wait until August.

I am sick and tired with my phone and would like a new one (HTC or similar) but really don't want to go to the expense of buying a PAYG and using that until my contract runs out.

I was thinking about ringing Orange and asking how much they would sell me the phone, with no changes to my contract or anything. How much discount would they give me from the PAYG price they advertise? has anyone tried this and if so how did they get on?

Thanks for that, I have emailed Orange as cannot get through to speak to someone....automated service just says no go til august and that it!

Nipped into carphone warehouse yesterday, I like the HTC desire HD - lovely!!

I doubt they'll offer any discounts off the full price handset. If you can't wait, probabily best to have 2 contracts running and downgrade the old one if possible
