Also, I thought I read that PayPal will never ask for you account number because they already have it. They had the name of my bank and the last 2 digits on my account number where it reads "Bank Acount and are asking me to add my full bank account number.
It won't let me click on anything else, review my funds or even request a withdrawal, I dont even know if this is relevant but I have requested withdrawals sucessfully to my bank in the past..

Thanks all,

make sure you are not subject to some sort of malware infection by downloading

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/

    install it and update

doa FULL scan and delete all it finds

it produces a "Log File" post that in a new thread on the Techie Forum

Am thinking towards what Browntoa is thinking. Some viruses can extract further information from their victims this way.

One way to prove if this is the problem, is trying to log in at another machine and see if you get the same message.
  • Hi.
I've not actually had any other problems with viruses etc, But am I right in thinking not all viruses are blatantly obvious. I've not been on any different websites than normal, all of which are confirmed safe ones. I'm using firefox, which I thought was more 'immune' to viruses, in comparison to internet explorer. Thanks for the help everyone. Downloading now.....

The OP got this message as she logged in not via email (it pays to read the original post)

It'a actually a standard paypal security measure. As long as it when you log in (not via email) I've done this half a dozen times over the past 10 years. If your still suspicious phone paypal to confirm but if you do nothing you will not be able to use your paypal account,
