My brother has had a Orange SF for a few months but is now looking to change to.a higher spec android phone. Does anyone if a higher version budget Android phone is coming out soon?

I've told him to get a used desire from eBay. Any ideas?

Seems like the upcoming ZTE Skate should be a step up and still cheap. eBaY Desire is probably a good bet too though.

I think Desire is rather higher quality than higher spec. Am I wrong? Does your brother really knows what he wants?

Desire has a bigger screen and a newer generation (thus able to use Flash/iPlayer), faster processor. Also the build quality is a million times better.

Cheers, ill check the ZTE skate.

He is after a phone which is faster and has more memory than the SF. The SF is a very good stepping stone to the android world but it does have its limitations.

The xperia x10 was the first choice but there are only a handful of Roms for it though.

Just had a look at the ZTE skate, the spec is impressive but the phone looks very big.

With the same resolution personally I'd prefer a smaller screen and a smaller phone. Desire is 3.5mm wider. I wouldn't say that this is an advantage.
