At last someone with some sense!!! the majority of the responses seem to think that a village consists of half a dozen houses with a farm where everyone keeps a cockerel at the bottom of the garden that backs onto lovely fields but in reality this is a large village of approx 4000 residents spread over a built up area. Not the type of place you would expect a cockerel and the nature of the housing being close together means the noise echoes. Anyone who knows of someone looking to rent who loves the sound of cockerels in a Suffolk village let us know!!!!!;)

I suspect that the majority of those who have claimed it wouldn't bother them can't honestly say they've ever had to endure it. Cue inevitable protestations to the contrary. Having lived next door to one (I've only just remembered that - must've blanked it out but it explains my aversion) I can say from experience that cockerels crowing in the early hours is neither quaint nor trivial. Good luck with the letting.
