How anyone can hate a company is beyond me. Get some perspective!

That could only be said by someone who doesn't have to use Travel West Midlands.

:T I left a snotty message on their answer machine, I've dissed them across cyberspace and sent a snitty email to them, so I better give them credit when they do something right...........

I got home this evening to see two envelopes on the doormat.

One envelope had no markings on it, my name and address were clearly written and visible through the little window, so it wasn't a circular.

Opening it, I found a monthly Black Country Fare Saver from Travel West Midlands.

At first glance, the explanation seemed obvious. A franking machine error had delayed it.

So how did Royal Mail deliver it without stamping all over a little postcard telling me I had mail waiting for me at the Post Office and please pay £1 excess.........?

However, at second glance the issue date on the letter was the 21st February 2011.

They must have printed and hand delivered the new pass. In't that nice of them? :T

The next envelope was the pass that had been printed on the 7th and should have reached me loooong before today.

 So, yay! Thank you Travel West Midlands for printing off and hand delivering my new bus pass. That was quite sweet of you.

And have a word with UK MAIL about their mailing schedules will you? They're making you look bad.

    That means I'm still £13 down though...............
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

After complaining about my missing bus pass AND the hassle of getting a weekly bus pass to tide me over, NX West Midlands hand delivered a new bus pass.

It arrived on the same day as the pass which should have shown up earlier but it was the thought that counted. ;)

Then I received an email saying that an envelope was going to arrive. When it arrived, I was to put my £13 bus pass in it, return it and they would organise a refund.

    This happened.

I've had £13 credited to my bank account. Woo hoo!

Nice one getting your money back. Cycling it not as bad as you might think - done it a few times the other way. Obviously I don't know where you start from, but A454 is flat and wide (with bus lanes) up to the big roundabout - Willenhall is usually devoid of traffic so cut through it and go past the temple. Turn right to go past the cinema and Boundary Mill and you miss J10. Then left thru Pleck takes you straight into Walsall town centre. An easy 30 minute cycle :D

    Well let's see........

    I hate my job.

    I hate my boss.

    I hate my working environment.

I hate the fact that any application for any job I do submit seems to be outright ignored.

I hate anything that makes getting to and from my job any more stressful than it already is.

I hate not being able to drive, not being able to afford driving lessons or being able to buy or run a car.

I hate being so helplessly dependent on the !!!!!! I have to buy my bus pass from.

I hate spending money on a service which gets worse by the week.

I hate spending £36 I can ill afford and not having anything to show for it except more stress.

and I hate being unable to do much about it except rant impotently on forums like this.

    That enough perspective? :wall:

I am sure there is some kind of regulatory body which ensures that buses stick to the timetables they should. if it doesn't happen they are fined for each bus which fails to make its route on time. I can't remember the name of the authority which deals with it but I am sure if you google it and then threaten to go to them you might be taken a bit more seriously.
