I think its a wonderful idea, I think its much nicer, look how much thought has gone into it, I have made eyelash scarfs for my teachers and an aran one for a male teacher for playground duty.
I would be so pleased if someone had gone to all that trouble.0 -

5 cups (not teacher or xmas ones just big hot choc cups)
I think the whole shared hamper idea is a lovely. How about getting some ceramic paints and getting your son to paint a simple picture on each cup (pin men, square box house etc or thumb print flowers or just a hand print depending on his skill). You could then add each teacher's name - they won't have any of those!
We usually bake cakes. One year we made some Xmas tree decorations out of painted fir cones and ribbon so they could hang it on their tree each year and remember the child.
I think the fact it is not very teacherish is actually the key here and means it is absolutely perfect - they'll get teacherish pressies from all the other kids.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -
I think the shared hamper is a really good idea. I think you have put a lot of thought into a lovely present that can be shared by all the teachers in the staff room. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0

That soudns lovely, I bet they will love it, very different.
I have a similar problem, my son goes to pre-school - there are 5 teachers, and he goes to nursery in the afternoons when I am still at work - he has 4 teachers there and my daughter has 5 in her room.l They don't operate a key worker policy so really I buy for all or none. And seeing as they are so good with my kids all year I want to buy them something (some parents don't bother, but I am grateful for all they do all year).
Anyway with 14 ish to buy for I was really worried but I managed to find really nice candles in Primark for £1 and little candle trays at 50p so each teahcer is getting one and the whole lot cost £20. Seems like a lot to spend on teahcers but considering that covers 14 of them I am pretty pleased! I know its not very original but I hope they understand !

How thoughtful!! That's such a lovely idea, I would be honoured and touched to recieve a gift like that, you can see how much thought and effort has gone into it, it has lots of personal touches, and really shows that you cared.
Anyone can pick up a bottle of wine, but I think this gift is fab, on second thoughts, give the teachers the wine and send me the basket!!!With Love From The Mistress xx

it is a really nice idea, and TBH honest I might even steal your idea. I think you should make some more up and sell them on ebay, esp with the homemade stuff, I think you are really on to something with your idea- ignore your mum and sister they are just jealous that they couldn't come up with something more original than a bottle of wine.0

Unfortunately, you can't just sell home cooked stuff without hygiene certificates and getting your kitchen checked out. It bugs me that my cake baking skills can't easily be utilised. If I was good at craft things I could make a fortune.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

Hello
I'm a teacher and have 3 children that have lots of teachers between them. We began this idea last christmas and will continue to use it - till they all leave.
Get a cheap A4 folder / plastic wallet etc. Print out a piece of paper with Teacher's Name and wording like Miss ******'s Important Information
Get the child to draw a picture - stick collage stuff on it - paint what ever - then laminate or tacky back it onto the front of the folder!
Honestly, as a teacher you never have enough folders.
You can get more expensive folders that have a front pocket!0
