By the time i pay off my debt (this yr sometime) i will be 1 yr away from graduating from Uni, so will probably start saving my backside off so that i will be able to clear that off!

Also i want to save money just because i may be able to!!
  • Hopefully start a family
At the moment things are too tight to consider it but in the future...
Oh, and give my mum a big hug for supporting and not judging me when I went to her when I got myself in this state.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

I'm going to sell every material possession I've got and spend the night in a cardboard box, hahaha.

Just kidding . . . Knowing me, I'll probably just spend the night quietly by myself doing absolutely nothing. Like every other day, I guess :-).

Hoping to be debt free by July this year...

I think to celebrate I'm going to put a large amount of that months salary into a savings account and that is going to start a whole new chapter ! Can't wait :j

    Good luck everyone

What a lovely thread :) I realised earlier my LBM was Aug 2009 and I felt the same like I had been doing it ages! I have no idea when my Dfd will be so not given much thought to how i will spend it - but will prob go for a meal and open a savings account! :) xxx

I have some way to go before I am DF, but when I am, I will have the biggest smile on my face and feeling of joy inside I have ever had knowing I will never get in this position ever again. Then I might treat myself to something small but treasured as a reminder to myself at how far I have come to keep and never get rid of

I can't wait to experience the feeling!

  • I made a promise I would NEVER get myself in the position that I was in ever again- to this day I have no debt (well apart from my soon to be 1st time mortgage) I cant really remember what I did to celebrate though...
Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!
  • I'm taking BF to Le Manoir for lunch lol he was going to take me but I wanted to take him so we'll probably ending up just splitting it. I'm hoping credit card debt free will be by the end of the year, around £6200 to go and we are putting in an offer no a house tomorrow so if that gets excepted I won't be able to carry on paying off £600 a month so it will probably take longer. We're hoping to make savings in other ways like selling one car and we'll spend far less on petrol and bills so maybe it won't set me back too far.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
