Regardless it is still the only way to win a dispute.

Then it would not be worth winning if you ended up worse off than you would if you just let it go.

  • Well then you would need to take your chances sending it normal post and if not then claim off royal mail than trying to scam the seller through an INR case?

I would only pay return postage if the item was sent back cheaply at that price. We are assuming that most ebay buyers and sellers are honest.
However, on the one occasion an item wasn't received back, I told the buyer tp forward the COP and I made the claim.

I wanted to highlight this post as this is a very important point that macfly has raised and one that we often overlook.

A buyer only needs tracked return postage if they believe the seller is a scammer or is likely to dispute a return, in the vast majority of cases we sellers will refund immediately on safe return of a SNAD item, we wouldn't need tracking to refund. Most sellers wouldn't ieven let it get to the dispute point and would refund without paypal or ebay getting involved.
