Selling back ticket to ticketmaster?

Mu husband bought me two top tickets to see Barry Manilow at the O2 on Saturday 7th May for my birthday. He has paid for them, but they don't arrive until 2 weeks or so before the event. Now it looks like we can't go because we have to change our holiday due to a course at work and wonder if we can sell the top tickets back. They were £120 each, so don't want to just give them away. I won't do ebay because I was hacked into before and this put me off.

Any thoughts?

Firstly , i bought tickets from ticketmaster just last week for my 2 DD's to go see a concert (wont say who the concert is though as im ashamed of my DD's for liking this clampet pair:o)

Just wanted to point out to you that although the ticketmaster site says that the tickets will be with you at least 14 days before the event , this is only to cover themselves....the tickets actually arrive really quickly . As i say , i purchased tickets last monday on the site and they came today , so 5 days.

Also , when purchasing tickets on ticketmaster you are offered the option of taking out insurance to cover situations such as not being able to go to the concert. If insurance is purchased and you cant attend you get a full refund.....Your Husband wouldnt by any chance have purchased this along with the tickets ?

Failing that , the only other option you have is to firstly ask around your family/friends/neighbours and see if anyone will buy them....failing that Gumtree or Ebay is your only choice

Now , Op , the above is just based on the info that I know....you may find that when other posters read this , they may well know of other options which you could take !

Mmmmmm , well this is the second set of tickets I have bought from Ticketmaster . I purchased the first set in April last year and they also came really quickly (within about a fortnight on that occasion).

Could you email or ring Ticketmaster to check incase they have been lost in the post ?

Has anyone else reading this used ticketmaster ? Any comments on how long your tickets took to arrive as it may help the OP .

A lot of concerts do only post the tickets out a few weeks beforehand. Usually it'll be no less than a month before, but don't panic if it is. I remember one Bon Jovi concert I went to the tickets arrived the Monday for the Saturday concert.

Just to add, in terms of selling the tickets on, it's done all the time without the physical tickets in your hand. As long as you have the confirmation, that should be enough evidence that you will have the tickets to pass on to people. I believe some of the ticket websites have their own market place now, have a look around, you might find they are a good place to sell them on.

I have found I normally get tickets from them within a few weeks of booking them. See Tickets are the ones that leave it to the last minute with tickets sometimes not arriving until the day of the event.

Any general admission or specially printed tickets will be sent out closer to the dates. I would imagine that the BM ones fall into the latter category.
    Gone ... or have I?
