  • Do you need to print out the emails to go and collect the orders? I placed 3 orders, thinking they would be cancelled. I didn't think about the embarrassing consequences if they actually did honour them! So now, I'll be rolling out email after email!

I hope they sort them according to name rather than look at the email address!

In this situation just copy the order numbers onto a bit of paper - say you don't have a printer and that you are collecting orders for you daughters too to save them a trip to town ;) That's what I do:D

The email states you have to print it out and take it with you when you collect your item so they have the order number.

Just print them out and say that you're picking up your order and a couple of friends so they don't have to make a special trip. That's if they say anything - I would just hand the e-mails across.

I must say - kudos to Jaeger for honouring all our orders. When they realised that the code was working on sales goods and corrected it, they could have cancelled all our orders. Lots of other retailers would have.

that's what i would do too.

they say: 'In order to collect your order you must take a copy of the order acknowledgement or despatch email showing the order reference number into the store.'

i think the bold bit is important. as long as you have the number, then you should be fine.

    :)

I picked up my two orders at lunchtime with no problem at all with the printed e-mails. Didn't feel the need to expalin anything.

Well happy - umbrella normally retailing at £40 for £4 and two purses and a ticket holder normally retailing at £60 for £3.20.
