Orange PAYG - can I get a refund on call credit?

Does anyone know if you can get a refund on call credit on Orange PAYG?
I spoke to Customer Services who said they used to refund call credit through a cheque payment but in the T&C's it states "No cash credits will be given for unused Top Ups". Unfortunately the CS person couldn't give an exact answer as his supervisor wasn't there and it had been a few years since he'd issued a refund by cheque.
Have any MSE'rs had their call credit refunded recently?

as far as retail are concerned and ever told credit is never ever refundable only thing ive ever seen but never practised is that the credit can be transfered to another number registered under the same nameYes Your Dukeiness
