Mine DS's are now 12 and 15 and the idea of actually spending time with me is one that causes this face  , but when they were younger we used to have country themed days. So we would chose a country and then paint flags, cook food from there, learn how to say hello and goodbye and easy things like that. The library and the internet came in very useful.
Also I turned the house into a cinema. The living room was Screen One and my bedroom Screen Two. The kitchen was the concession stand and I made popcorn and hot dogs and bags of sweets. This worked well when the weather was terrible and they were fighting like cat and dog. One watching their favourite film upstairs, one downstairs and me in the kitchen eating the leftover sweets.0 -
Thanks SO much for this!! Fab!
You're welcome Cleggie - I really hope you and others get the chance to look at and, hopefully use, some of these excellent activities. I'm not sure about Plymouth, but a lot of the extended schools co-ordinators in Devon are being laid off, and it is such a shame - lots of fantastic ways for kids to have great activities to do over holidays, for not very much at all, and often for free. Hopefully the schemes and activities themselves will still run, but it's going to be a lot harder to find them from the summer onwards.
Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
Hi - I work for a cinema and would just like to advise you to pre-book the kids half term shows - it tends to sell out really quickly! You can go in days in advance and prebook, as opposed to booking online and paying a booking fee.2011 Wins : Models own makeup product, Photoplusx4 software:j Mens hair dye :rotfl:0
