FORD 6000CD says LOCKED :(
Hope this is on the correct thread
I've bought a Ford 6000cd radio off ebay (seller had 100% feedback etc) and when I've installed it, it says LOCKED on the display
Anyone know how I can get one chance to put the code I've got in please ?
A Ford mechanic on a website is wanting to charge me £22, so I assume there is a method ?

What exactly does it show on the screen, LOCK10 or LOCK13 ? and give us the M****** serial number.Hope this is on the correct thread

Molerat - unit just says LOCKED - not LOCK10, 13 or any other number
I've got a code for it but need a way to unlock it so I can put the code in
Its also got a V serial number, not M - which meant more expense

I would contact the Ebay seller and ask him what the code is and why he didn't give you the code when he sent you the radio.You could also mention if he knows what 'negetive' feedback is.:D0

That part of the problem is in hand - he's been given the chance to explain the matter, after stating he had removed it from a Fiesta in working order and had "mislaid" the code.
TBH. I realise that buying from sites such as Ebay has it's "grey" areas, but he has decent feedback (so far) - just cant believe in this day and age that such tackle has a finite number of chances to insert the relevant code - its hard enough to get the blooming thing out of the dash in the 1st instance !0 -

Several versions of ford 6000, Is the radio from a 2004 or newer car? Ford need 2 codes to unlock these.
Not freely available, They need to be logged into the system to get the radio working.
Some are also coded to the reg of the car, So legally swapping can stop the radio working.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Yes, I bought the software to get a new code off eBay for £10 a few years ago.
He still sells this software I believe, just search eBay, he accepts paypal.0 -
Someone explain the benefit of putting radio codes on a radio that only fit's one make/model of car.....
