Ex-Tiscali / Talk Talk Billing problem

This is for ex-Tiscali customers.

I have been told by TT that there has been a problem with the direct debit payment this month, I was told that they are currently changing all the ex-Tiscali customers onto the TT billing system.

The problem is not with me as there is enough money in my account & the direct debit is still active.

I have had plently of problems with TT since they took over Tiscali & I'm on the verge of leaving because of all the problems they have caused.

So this is just a "heads-up" in case you have a similar problem.

There is a possibility that if they try and take a payment & it is "refused" then they may try and charge you for a rejected payment, even though it is their fault.

    HI Blue
I have been charged £4.50 for non DD payment even though I have always paid them via my bank with DD every month. I have e-mailed them (best way to contact them) demanding compensation. I will let you know what happens

Their billing has been a nightmare for me for the past six months since I upgraded to one of their packages from BB only.

THEY decided not to take payment any more, despite me having the same payment method for ten years or so. Then they sent me overdue letters with fines etc, then they said ignore the overdue letters as Im in credit, asked me to email my password to them (!!!) etc etc.

Eventually got it sorted but only after I got past the offshore idiots and the Brummie numpties.......if your letters arent coming from Southampton, all you will get is "really sorry youre having problems, cant be bothered understanding your problems though, so pay up".

Parents just found out TT cancelled their broadband for no appareent reason.... we noticed lack of service few days ago, I checked modem/connection etc then looked like no payment taken for Jan/feb. Their accounts said all was fine (?!?!?!) then first line support said all was fine then second line support finally told us we'd cancelled the service, which we had not.

No way to reactivate the service and told to ask BT who/why the service was cancelled but was told we're welcome to signup as a new customer to TT or go to another ISP!

In case it's relevant, was a pipex then Tiscali then Opal then TalkTalk although we spoke to Opal who I think supposedly do the business section of ex Pipex? (Never could fathom out what had happened since Pipex got taken over!)

A remarkable bunch of idiots it would seem.
