Hi
Due to exhaustive 'tarting' over the past few years, I am running out of 'new' 0% cards to apply for.
When I move cards, I always write to close my 'old' card account - but how long is it before I can be considered a 'new' customer on a card I had before.
Hope this makes sense

Usually 6 months, sometimes a year. However some cards are tightening up on this and might not be interested in giving you further 0% offers. Nothing to lose in trying if you are running out of options though.0

Mr Smartsaver & I had MBNA 'visa' cards then closed them as no new deals were forth coming. We immediatley applied for MBNA 'mastercard and was accepted with the same credit limit.
It is worth seeing if you cancelled cards have an alternative visa or mastercard option.0 -
I closed my Capital One card a couple of months ago, applied at the weekend, and was immediately accepted. Did not say what the credit limit would be though. Also closed my Morgan Stanley card - but that was about a year ago - and recently got a new one with almost 3 times what the original credit limit was.0

That's good news - I couldn't bear to pay interest!!!! I just need to work out which cards I had when.
