    Hi All

This morning the man came to install the loft installion `free`, but needed tp pay an £25.00 for lagging (?), but got an £30.00 M&S voucher in return, so a fiver better off I suppose as I will use the vouchers for my mums Christmas pressie.

£1.75 in Money off Coupons in Mr. T.

They shouldn't be charging you for the installation. It is supposed to be FREE. May be you should call M@S Energy and ask them to refund the money.

  • Hi US, which thread do you find most of your glitch details on MSE as you always seem great at grabbing a bargain?

I seem to only find the Tesc@ one

    Thanks, Tilly

Discounts and Grabbit threads. Though I daresay step into Grabbit thread with caution lest you get carried away with on-the-spur purchases.

Today I did the Halifax £1k shuffle to earn £5 and mended the cat flap. Fixed it with longer screws so hopefully the rascals wont be able to break it again. We now no longer have a howling gale whistling through the house.

Tomorrow I plan to hang a kitchen door. Long story, but we don't have one and we lose a lot of heat this way. My neighbour was recently binning her interior doors so I got dibs on them. Proof that one woman's "old granny doors for the skip" are another woman's "original, vintage treasures". We will be toasty this winter :D

Still only overpaying £113 per month by direct debit and saving up an emergency fund before I start any ad hoc overpaying. By doing little winterproofing jobs around the house, I feel like I am doing my moneysaving bit.

Love this thread and have learned loads. Thanks :T
