So, are we back in from the Arms now?? I seem to have missed what has been going on.

I have also been feeling very flat today and very restless. Need to address a few issues me thinks - not least a new job if I can find one!
there is still a thread running in the Arms:rotfl:

  • zarazara and mrswive, glad you both feel better after letting off steam on here. Lots of things seem better after a cup of tea and a few twinks :)

Welcome to all of the new faces :j. This is a very friendly site and I am sure you will get a lot out of it. I know that I do.

Oh now works on the other side of town and informed me ther ewas a thai gorcery shop. I asked him to check out the price of the flour. He came back with a 500g bag of chickpea flour for 55pand a 1.5kg bag of SR flour for £1.55:eek:. I only asked him to look. He did say that the frozen fish looked good value for money. I have not bee yet (thinking petrol) but I might have to now as we love fish. Once I know what is in there and the price I can send him with list.

Got OH out into the garden today before it got too cold. Have planted garlic, lambs lettuce and spinach today and started off an asparagas bed. Have also moved some shrubs and bulbs to extend the soft fruit bed. Has any one tried raspberries in a container? I love them but they are expensive to buy and I am rapidly running out of garden space and thought that I might try them in a large container.

The daffs are about to flower, crocuses and winter rose are in flower and the peoney is starting to shoot.

Had an OS tea tonight of woopsie roast beef for dinner. Only a small joint but enough for 4 of us tonight and for sandwiches tomorrow.
Have kept the remaining gravy and meat juice for making a broth tomorrow.

Its been a good day today OH seemed to enjoy himself as well. His antidepressants seem to making a difference despite him weaning himself off the tramadol for his back. Lots of things are tough but some things seem to be getting better :).
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

Hope noone minds if I de-lurk. I've been reading this thread for eons but felt a little shy about intruding by posting.

    Hello bertiebots :hello:

wmf I also lived in Suffolk for 18 years :) in the Bury St Edmunds area. Moved to Dorset 10 years ago, and we do have extremely good weather down here, although, for a Southern Softie, it's been a bit too parky down here this winter for my liking ;) the hardest one I've known since I've lived here. That said, my Buddliea bush/tree is also in bud.

Whereabouts in Suffolk are you Shegar?

    .

My neighbours have filled a couple of huge, old water tanks with Raspberry canes, and they seem to be thriving. I'm told they have a 60/40 mix of manure and compost and that they drink endless amounts of water. Does it show that I pump them for their veg knowledge?? :D

Thanks Beccah and welcome. I think we might give it a go but on a smaller scale.

Thank you all for the welcome :D I think the threat of possibly losing this thread, the move to the arms and then back again, has made me realise how much I value it..hence deciding to hop out of lurkdom and get involved. I'm guessing thats true of a lot of new faces.
