If Mr O had put a penny on the price of a litre of fuel then everyone would be moaning. I will take any little bit given. However, it will be taken away if they do get rid of NI and tax us at 32%. For those with more than one job you will be 12% worse off on your second income...because if you are currently under (I think) its £110 per week, you dont pay NI.

What worries me is that nothing is STILL being done about the massive deficit we have.

Yea I know what you mean about Mr O putting 1p on fuel, but all of us will not benefit from 1p taken off , they just dont add up to enough difference to to be able to see a saving in your pocket.............they will soon get that penny back and several more because without us noticing it will be a penny here up and a penny there.............

I remember when people said about a year ago when fuel was 97 p per ltr ...(if fuel hits a £1.00 per ltr I will sell my car)..........but people dont, they just keep finding that little bit more to keep their car, we all do..........
And here we are at £1.45 per ltr:eek::eek:. I cant sell my car whatever happen.........I will just use it less than I do now......I can never see fuel ever being £1.00 per ltr ever again...........

If anyone own a gas guzzler they will have a helluver job to get rid of it, ive got a 03 diesel picasso its a a to b car nothing speical, but it gives quite good mph............... I can get the wheelchair in comfortable it will do us okay......mind you im not what you call a "car person"....dont care what it looks like, as long as its get me to where im going that will do...........:D..

Just out of curiosity what make model car do you all own.??

Hi we have 2 cars a company BMW estate and a little peugeot

The BMW needs to be quite hefty as it has to tow the caravan and because it is a company car we don't pay for anything except diesel. The little car is our own and is great but doesn't get used as much as it should. We have often thought about going down to 1 but sometimes we just NEED 2!

It is even more ironic cos my OH works for the railways and we get free train travel, which we do use a lot but at times only the car will do.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

I have a 1.3 micra and dh has just swapped his 2l citreon xm for a little peugeot 106.
they are both economical to run even with his heavy foot.
It is the effect that fuel prices have on food that makes me angry,we can choose to use our cars or not but we all have to eat.

Welshcamper my condolences for you and your family.

Gq I hope I did ot scare you. It does seem very strange behaviour. I hope it does not go on for much longer.

Apparently you can only do it with brown rice as White rice has been polished with the hull removed. You let it soak for a day or 2 in fresh changes of warm water. The seed just begins to germinate and is then ready for cooking in the usual way!!!

I already have my next batch in soak for later in the week!

The Japanese are really into it at the moment and the health benefits are awesome!

Mmmmmmm! Tasty AND good for you!

Any chance of sharing the specifics of making this?It sounds good.Thanks.

I can't/don't drive, but OH does, when we (finally) get together full time,we're looking to live closer to his studio so that he can walk rather than drive,as my bus pass only costs £46 per month. He drives an Octavia which has a huge boot for all his equipment.
