:rotfl: - at Hester...."Now - is it one pork chop or two?;)"

Annie56 - I'm surprised that midwife even "tried it on" with an attitude like that towards you. Guess she hadnt been told you are a midwife too by profession? Good for you that you made sure she got "told where to go". Laughed at Monty - as I do that if occasion demands (ie Posh Voice - with ice dripping from it visibly.....). Theres times when speaking in my usual voice (ie with a softened local accent just doesnt "cut the mustard"......yep I am local here).

Glad that you're "analysing the situation" - I was a bit concerned about the "head in the sand" thing I could see going on and hoped you would start analysing/planning. Ohmegawd - hope that didnt come over "sounding all wrong" - but its meant to convey that I was a bit worried and trusting that you would do this...

    Take care

my grandaughter has been raised in disposables because of work, nursery etc and now at 2 1/2 they have moved and she is going to a new nursery with very good os and ethical principles, so the nursery use terry nappies. She has been there one month and she is now dry, it took 3 days in terries.

My 3 were terry raised and all were dry by 2 1/2 because they felt themselves wetting.

dd just asked me to knit a cardi and tank top for gd to wear at nursery as the last ones I made were so hard wearing and lovely and she can`t get the like in the shops. I haven`t bought yarn for ages and always buy online, well I have had such a shock at the prices for good yarn now. I have bought a pre-order pack of 10 balls of bamboo/wool and a pattern book but it has cost an arm and a leg. I will use every last bit as I`ll make her a short cardi and a short sleeved top plus a short sleeved top for another gd but they will get these with strict instructions re looking after them

Later on I will go through my stash as I never appreciated the value until now. In future I will be making stripey garments for the little ones. I have quite a bit of Debbie Bliss yarn and I never paid anything like what it costs now. Much of it is 5 years old and protected in bags and I suppose was a good investment at the time (my excuse)

Back on the rabbit topic. We used to have them regularly - local farmer wanted them shot and DB brought home what he shot. Had to be very careful when eating the rabbit stew that mum made - watching out for the pellets :( Put me off for ever!!

    Morning all!

Been reading the paper and i think we might be lucky in the boro, our council tax for 2011-2012 might either be frozen (i.e same amount as last year) or might even by reduced by 2% :j:j:j
BUT public travel is apparently supposed to be getting a makeover , so hopefully that means we may be get a new local firm offering bus services, but who knows.

Oh and we've been paid !!!!!!!!!!! Oh yes we have money, JSA finally forked out. So i'm less stressed now. As i treat i went to the pound shop how thrilling hahahaha. But i was restrained and only spent £2!

Its strange waiting for the new financial year etc to come out, everyone's on tenter hooks waiting for it.

Never know something good might happen, maybe its the sun or being pounded by hailstones yesterday has made me a little more positive this morning.

Better shoot and get the boys to school x

:) That reminds me about what Cousin J said about getting bunnies shot by Uncle D: Crunchy Gravy!

;) I have been a little bit naughty as have just run a load thru my washer (bedding) and it finished a few seconds ago. Wouldn't normally run the washer this early but wanted to be able to leave the stuff of the airer whilst I was at work and thus be able to out it away when I get home. It's entirely possible I may have disturbed Idiot Boy in the process..........:rotfl:

Hope you've all seen the weekend offers at lidl.

A box of non bio powder for £3 odd and it's a 60 wash box. We could easily get 120 from it by halving amounts. I personally use the value shampoo (22p a litre!!) but if hubby gets to the machine before me he insists on having 'real' laundry products, lol!
They've also got pork loin steaks too in for the weekend at £1.39 a pack.

:) I've just retrieved a pack of these from the freezer which I grabbed on a whim from the whoopsie cabinet last month at Mr T.

As they don't feature as part of my normal "routine" I haven't got much of an idea.

Could you lovely and resourceful people give me a pointer or I shall have to resort to a jar of cook-in sauce? :o And that would be very un-OS, and I shall probably be sent to the Arms in disgrace....:o
