:T Congratters on clearing a credit card, Kezlou, good for you!
I've just heard that the council can't apply for a court date to repo Idiot Boy upstairs until 7th March. Hope that they can get a date soon after that. Apparently judge has to rule for possession for the Council but he can rule on how long I.B gets to stay before the repossession takes place. It's normally 14 days.
I have to go now to see the GP about the horrible scaly itchy skin condition caused (I'm sure) by the stress of Idiot Boy for the past 9 months.........Grrr!!!!!!!!!
Oh well, light at the end of the tunnel, etc etc. ((((Hugs to all)) and I'll catch up the thread tomorrow morning.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Haven't caught up with all these postings yet - I will keep ploughing through them but feeling very pleased with myself that I've just "turned" two collars on a couple of my OH's favourite shirts which were looking a bit frayed but which he didn't want to discard as the rest of them were in good condition. It's the first time I've done this and it didn't take too long. If my mum's up there in the clouds somewhere, I hope she's looking down and smiling as this was my first attempt after I remember her doing this regularly during the war. With VAT on clothes now at 20%, that's another few bob the Treasury won't be getting :rotfl:0

Thanks Bertie yes that is the sort of thing I was looking for.
LannyLee- well done you :T
GreyQueen- Cant believe that it could be upto another month before you see the back of IB, but at least things are moving in the right direction.
I also hope that everything goes OK at the Dr's."Let your boat of life be light, pack only what you need- A homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends worth the name, someone to love and someone who loves you, a cat, a dog, a pipe or two enough to eat, enough to wear and a little more than enough to drink, as thirst is a dangerous thing" Jerome k. Well done to Kezlou for paying of a credit card - what a great feeling!
Skint but happy with my lovely family
Hypnotherapy rocks :j0 -
Katholics my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. There are no words to ease the pain and I hope that you and your mum and the rest of the family take comfort with each other.
Kezlou well done on the credit card. :j I am very jealous.
Spoke to my lovely grandma last night as she has very generously given me the money to pay for my private chiropractor for the next 10 weeks. This is a huge weight off my mind as I thought I would have to stop next week due to the fact that I have no money and the car needs MOT and service which is more than the cost of the treatment. I feel very relieved as it has really helped me to keep going. I am very blessed to have such a lovely grandma and just regret that at the moment I cannot visit her as she lives too far away from me - I can only drive for 10 minutes max before the pain in moving my legs is too much and she lives over 2 hours away.
I finished a scarf that I started knitting when I was pregnant with my daughter over four years ago yesterday! Will keep it and use as a Christmas present. Once I have parents evening out of the way I will start my next project - I'm knitting all the children a cuddly toy for Christmas. Did a trial run for my daughter and it went down very well.
Anyway, back I go to marking the 100 books I have to do before tomorrow and the 35 reports I have to write.'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'
Proud Mummy to two gorgeous miracles.:j0 -
I think I've solved the fuel crisis the OS way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have invented the Make Your Own Methane recipe.
Ingredients:-
Large packet of lentils
6 Jerusalem Artichokes
5 kilo of Brussel Sprouts
herbs and spices to taste
Method:-
Combine all ingredients together in a large pan, cook thoroughly for 2 hours until all mushy and soupy.
Feed the nurishing broth to the entire family over the weekend, by Monday morning there will be enough gas to heat the home and power at least 2 vehicles.
lol lol lol thank you xxx:A :j0 -

re the laptop, the school may well have a leasing scheme (really Hire Purchase). It's not always very good value but the monthly payments tend to be quite low. They aren't supposed to have terms and conditions that would discourage low income families from applying, to prevent covert selection of wealthier middle class familiesIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0
