I rather suspect those that know how to spell Scottish are doing just fine...

    No, we don't.

The disaster that has beset our country was caused by the sudden and catastrophic freezing up of global credit markets, which almost brought down the world's financial systems.

UK House prices had nothing to do with the recession or credit crunch.

UK mortgage lending standards had nothing to do with the recession or credit crunch.

This country's participation in the credit binge is obvious for all to see. Your denial is only exceeded by your insatiable greed for money for nothing.

Proof required ?? Easy, you wouldn't be 'clinking beer glasses together' on an internet forum if you were 22-23 years old, fresh out of uni with thousands of pounds of debt already around your neck.
Have owned outright since Sept 2009, however I'm of the firm belief that high prices are a cancer on society, they have sucked money out of the economy, handing it to banks who've squandered it.

And your blinkered obsession with the "credit binge" is obvious for all to see. Despite the proof it wasn't much of a factor being right in front of your eyes.

    Of course there is.

If we keep it up, he/she/it may never be released from care.
