Looking for 6-seater for hire for the weekend...

I'm trying to find a car for 6 passengers for a weekend away in the cotswolds. I live near Kingston upon Thames and just wondered if there is a cheaper way to hire a vehicle from fri 25th feb from the afternoon to the evening on sunday 27th feb. Ive looked at pick up and drop from Heathrow and its really pricey .....
any help would be appreciated as I've only hired a car abroad before...

have a look at www.bt.com and look for local car hire firms. i', sure one will be able to help you with something, and probably cheaper than the 'big boys'.

Avoid Heathrow at all costs. Rental cars generally cost more at airports because of the higher overheads the companies are charged to rent desks in terminals or parking lots on or near airport property.

Enterprise usually have some kind of discounted Friday pm - Monday am weekend deal, sometimes half the regular daily rate. I don't think the Weekend Special applies to MPVs, but you could try. I also know for certain that most of their off-airport locations are closed on Sunday and out of hours returns are at your own liability - so you'd have to return it Monday morning.
