LGP500/Galaxy?

Totally out of my depth on these phone deals, sorry. Am retired, but love my gadgets :)and have been tempted by dd1's LG. and a bigger screen galaxy. Basically a very light user, but value primarily internet access, and high priority is use for in car navigation instead of tomtom. Low use texts and calls. Light use facebook and other forums.
Don't want to comit to contract deal; so payg. Need advice pls as to whether price difference between the two phones is likely to be worth it for me. Also no idea of suitable tarrifs.Have been stuck on a rotten virgin PAYG fo ages, no internet use, but looking for a change and better deal. Thanks for help.

Just to make things interesting, consider a thrid choice, the Orange San Francisco . Much cheaper than the others, and will do everything you've listed with ease.
