Abbey is the same-£500 daily limit over the counter plus a further £300 in cash-reason being that they just don't have large amounts of cash at any one time.They need 24(sometimes 48) hours notice of any amount over this and would definitely not give out £3000 without notice.There are also lots of security questions to go through and photo ID needed.
