    you have 2 choices, wait the 8 weeks or don't. Personally I would be inclined to wait, as then you can say (should this ever go to court) that you acted in a fair and reasonable manner. It will take a while to claim the money through MCOL anyway and you're unlikely to get the monry before christams so I personally would allow them the time.

    If after 8 weeks you have no response, carry on as normal, the 8% is added daily from the day the debt was incurred so if they wish to drag their feet let them. Who know's maybe they will just pay out without you having to pay court fees (£120 for that amount plus £100 for the allocation questionaire).

    It's entirely your own choice as it's your claim.
