hmmm, iphone 5 huh? Is it just me or can apple not count? There was iphone 3, iphone 3gs and iphone 4. Where was iphone 1 and 2? By my reckoning, that makes the new iphone 5 actually the iphone 4. hmmm :S

You've made a fundamental error there, you've missed one and there was no iPhone 3, only an iPhone 3G.

The next iPhone will indeed be the fifth iPhone.

iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 5 (assuming that's what it's going to be called anyway).

The Financial Times reckon the iPad 2 is being launched next week. Perhaps there'll be an iPhone 5 announcement, too. Not that I care, I've got a Desire HD for at least another 18 months.
