have a look at other car hire companies - the likes of Holiday Auto's, worldwide cars, affordable cars (these are thereputable companies we use, however i'm sure there are loads to chose from - but check reviews) to see what they offer. then, if you find a cheaper option with them, just tell THomson that you will not be taking the car insurance through them as you will not be using the car.
My thoughts are that the Thomson shop manager is on a target to hit car hire insurances through Alamo, thus stating that you MUST take car hire insurance through them. If it was right that the car hire insurance could only be booked through Thomson, then it should have been included in the original price.[FONT="]I used to be a Travel Agent [/FONT]Used to be a travel agent for 23 Years, but now out of the industry.
