We have just got 2 new mobiles in our family and I initially took insurance through Carphone warehouse and the cost was £6.00 per month per phone, but I've since cancelled it. This doesn't sound a lot, but there are cheaper companies some of which are:
https://www.cusc.co.uk https://www.talkcover.com they both work out at under £5.00 per month. Apart from that I didn't find much else and you have to read the small print - the excess amounts can vary.
I ended up switching my home contents insurance to a cheaper provider and I am now paying less - £6.80 per month, which includes standard + cover for personal belongings away from the home (accidental damage, loss, theft etc) which is good enough for the phones (The AA had just increased my premiums by 50% to almost £9.00 and that was without personal belongings cover!)
Hope this helps.0
