Hi Guys very new to this game i only found you all yesterday:-)
Anyway did the Asda Carling deal yesterday arrived today on time, but it took a few phone calls to get the price right
had £30.97 taken from back
invoice from driver £36.99
asda online invoice was £30 something forgot now
rang Asda customer service line and a bit of a problem explaning to the lady that i should have only been charge £17.99, she called the store who called me and i explained the problem again, the very nice man at the store told me there was a error on the web site and it should be the 18 packs not the 24 pack !!! but is ok he was going to honour the deal anyway.
Checked Asda online invoice and had now been charged £26.99 aaaarrrr
Called the customer service line who said its ok a refund has been put through for £14.94 ???
So i get 72 cans for £12.05 EXCELLENT
Now im well hooked :-)0 -
 I think we have a winner - 16.7p per can!! :j Just looked in store and the Carling are 20 packs with 4 extra free (i.e. 24 cans), BUT the website says clearly 24x Carling, so totally in our rights to claim this. Mine is coming tomorow so I'l be prepared!
PS How do you take a screen shot of a web page? TIA!0 -

press Print Screen on your key board and then open MS Word and paste.
by the way, their t's and c's will mean you aren't "well within your rights" but i can confirm the voucher trick still works - see the guiness thread.0 -

Thanks for that, Geoggy :j . I now have it confirmed the old voucher trick still works just fine - check out the OP of the Guinness thread!0 -
Just had my order delivered:
72 x 440ml cans of Carling
12 x Chicago Pizzas (6 boxes, 2 per box)
2 x 1kg Aunt Bessie Oven Chips
Birds Eye Simply Scampi 332.5g
Birds Eye Simply Fischakes
Unsurprisingly, they've totally cocked up the beer discount. Even though it clearly states on the order receipt Beer offer 3 for £24, they've only knocked off £5.94 discount? Making the beer cost £33 for 3 cases. Just phoned their home shopping African help desk (groan) and eventually after what seemed like an age, the chap agreed that I needed another £14.94 deducting from the bill! I tried to tell him it should only be another £9 to bring the beer total down to £24 but laddy was having none of it!Result: all the above order for £25.05 delivered. Happy days....:D
Edit: Incidentally, don't ring the 0845 number, ring 0500 100055 and ask to be put through to home shopping (Act dumb if asked how you got this number, just say someone has put you through here by mistake!). Freephone, and if my experience of the length of call required to get it right is anything to go by, a BIG saving....0 -
Being new here i didnt want to mention the language barrier that i had with customer services, but i also had the problem where i explained i needed a £9 refund and the very nice lady insisted on refunding £14.94 who am i to argue with that :-)0
