Vodafone retention result

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, but hope it's useful to someone.

I was looking at getting a new phone - currently with Vodafone, pay £35ish a month, get 125 free minutes and 150 free texts. Always go over the free minutes slightly, never use all the texts.
I wanted to upgrade to a Nokia N73, was thinking about moving to one of the Tmobile Flext tariffs, probably the £25 one (with discount £20) as that would cover my normal call/text volume. Only problem was that Tmobile don't currently carry the N73, but that wouldn't be the end of the world.
Of course I'd rather save the hassle and stay with Vodafone, so I phoned them and asked them what they could do. Had the usual rigeramole of them pretneding they couldn't do better, couldn't give me the N73 for free etc, so asked for my Pac code and told them I was moving to Tmobile.
As usually happens, they phoned me back the next day and more or less matched Tmobile.
Free Nokia N73, 200 fre minutes with Stop the Clock (so actually more minutes) and 250 free texts for £20 line rental a month, 18 month contract.
I was pleased with the deal - I would be interested to know if I've been had and I should have held out for more. I did ask them to throw in a better memory card, but they wouldn't.
Also if anyone knows what the N73 is like?

Just asked for a PAC code myself, so fingers crossed I get called back with a similar deal.

Best they could supposedly do was my existing tariff (i.e. not many mins and no texts) and £50 for the handset I want.

    Will wait and see :)
