First Direct Customers - Staying or going?

Staying with FDWe're staying, we have a current account each, a joint account, two savings accounts and an off-set mortgage too, so the charges should not apply to us, but have not had a letter to confirm yet.0

Thinking about changing bankI'm starting to reconsider my decision now
I got my initial paper work through for my Nationwide current account which also included a credit card application.
On opening the paperwork the credit card form had my security password typed on it. Anyone could have opened this letter if it had gone to the wrong address
So I decided to ring them and get an explaination. I've gone through the automated system and been sat on hold for over 10 minutes when I gave up.
This is making First Direct look good

Staying with FDWell, for one, am staying. Today it took me the sum total of 5 minutes to talk the very nice customer services representative lady (a human being who answered the phone after 2 rings I might add, BOTH times I had to call them (my mobile dumped the call)) into refunding the £55 charge they were intending to apply to my account for going overdrawn for the first time in living memory. :j No problems and no objections at all.
Hmm lets see...phone gets answered immediately by a person (not a machine which then charges me for the privelige of listening for stinky hold music), consistently polite and well trained knowledgable staff, excess charges refunded, no cause for complaint AT ALL over the last 2.5 years I have held my account with them (and thats not something I can say about ANY other company, not just banks) , next day replacement cards when I lost them, I think i'm definately staying. :j
I don't object to paying for FABULOUS customer service...though i'm in no doubt that someone will be along to tell the other side of it shortly. Guess I've been really lucky.;)
And NO I don't work for FD, and neither does any of my family, I have no personal interest at all...i'm a lowly paid NHS worker....:DGood Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!
