We Buy Any Car-Warning
After reading a thread on here about those cowboys & how much they under value a car for I,stupidly, decided to see how much my motor was worth. My intention was just for research,I have no intention of selling.
The are cars advertised online, the same model, age ect but with more milage than mine, for around £1500 up to £1700.WBAC offered me £475.
Needless to say I declined &,the is a pop up button that says 'Not ready to sell,do not contact' which I pressed.
Now,whenever I go onto Photo Bucket or other sites that have adverts on them,I'm now seeing adverts from these cowboys with 'my' car on it with the value they offered me on a viral advert.

Do you not have anti-virus installed with ad-blocker? That should remove that kind of stuff.

WBAC undervalued my car by about £300. A Fiat main dealer undervalued it by more than that as part ex :rotfl:0

I do all that on a daily basis,I know enough about PC security for that.Run AV every week (quick scan) & a full one every month, also I delete the pc history, cookies ect daily & CCCleaner every other day.
No my point was beware if you use these creeps to get a quote as even tho they say they wont contact you, they are contacting yo in the form of adverts offering to buy your motor.0 -
Same thing happened to me last year. I didnt want to go ahead then received pop up ads but soon stopped after about 4 months then I'd get the old email from them with the same cheap offer for my car.0

Yeah but I don't think they'd be able to show up in your adverts without some way to track your page movements which I think would mean something is on your computer.0 -
Hi all,
I too last year (after my car was written of by another motorist) enquired as to what they would buy my car for, (out of curiosity) and was offerd £400, (the insurance did offer me £1600), but when I declined WBAC's offer they popped up saying if I took it to my local Stonacre then they would offer me another £75 cash on top.
Like it has been said they are rip offs0 -

What a stupid moan this entire thread is.
If people look at the adverts that they see on websites they will notice that they are usually linked to sites that they've visited.0
