broadband allowance ... help please.

Hi we are on Talktalk broadband and have a download allowance of 40GB per month. My usage has doubled since November and it looks like we might go over our limit this month. I can't understand why it has increased so much.

I have been playing free bingo on most days, (Maybe as long as 2 hours per day (while I cook the dinner I hasten to add))
DS1 had an Ipod touch just after Christmas
I have been catching up on TV via the internet (ITVplayer)
I have been looking at photos, that are stored on the pc, on DS2 laptop.

I can't see anything else that's different.

I have a strong password so there shouldn't be anyone else using the internet,

Any suggestions

TIA

Catch up TV uses ~ 800MB/hr of data usage, even more if you are watching the HD versions.Have you been watching appreciably more since Xmas ?- an extra 4-5 hours per week would account for your increase.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have watched 4x45mins + 2x 60 mins of catch up tv this month. This could certainly account for some of it then. However, I watched Marchlands on Sunday, both episodes, and the reading is much lower than the day before when it was a 'normal' day.

Thanks I need to be more aware.
