Job Interview

I went to a job interview today for a sales company that sells facebook advertising (I know, but, I'm desperate). Anyway when I got there they told me that they'd been running for 15 years (?!), and that their Manchester office has been running for 12 months (it still spelt like new paint, and, on the outside of the building it said 'rent office space for £65 a month with free parking').

I did a quick whois on their website and it told me that the website had only been registered at the end of last year, that it had three other linked websites .de, .fr and .com.

I'm wondering if anybody thats any good at this kind of thing would be able to dig any deeper for me so that I've got some ammo for when they phone and offer me the job sometime later in the week? :rotfl:

Bit gutted its not the dream job I was hoping for, but then, I didn't have my hopes up.

The interview was with a very pretty girl who I think was about 18 years old, it was more like I was interviewing her, than her interviewing me ill PM you both the details.

Earlier tonight I would have loved to have done this for you, but you posted just as I was off for a few days away from a computer. I guess the weekend is no good for you? But anyone who tells you they've sold facebook anything for 15yrs is full of ****! 1996 the internet was a VERY different place, I assure you. In fact it was still just about possible to print a list of all the web sites in the world.

Thats exactly what I though! Weekend is fine hun, the more info the better- I'm going in armed!!

To be fair, they might have been in business for 15 years and only branched out into Facebook advertising recently. However, if you already smell a rat and didn't feel as though they were legit, it's probably best to avoid them!

Had to look up Cobra, but it seems to be a sales job where you work for quite a while with long hours and often don't get paid. '11 hour observation days', 'earnt £4 an hour' and so on. I would follow your instincts on this one and avoid.
