Wish mine would take the adult stuff - my eldest constantly cries that "its minty!!!!" Can see him using kids toothpaste in his 30s!!!

My 15 y/o uses strawberry or blackcurrant flavour, he has ASD and has major issues with the feel and flavour of things.. it is better this rubbish stuff than not brushing at all.He would use the colgate blue gel but it is like rocking horse poop to find in shops!

Is that an adult toothpaste pigpen or a children's one? I have the same problem that my eldest hates mint flavoured anything (not just toothpaste) and I am struggling to find something. My dentist gave him a sample of fennel and plant extract recently, which even says it takes time to adjust to the taste on, but DS says it's preferable to mint. I tried it and thought it was vile so if 'it's preferable to mint' I accept DS has a problem with the way mint tastes to him.
  • For those of you who might need something outside of the ordinary brands:
Organic adult toothpaste, they don't have fluoride in though

My kids gag and retch if I try to give them the adult toothpaste.
  • Most adult sensitive toothpastes have very mild taste - I know because it drives me nuts that they assume sensitive teeth = sensitive tastebuds!!

lemon is lovely, lime is even better. My mouth BURNS if I use any other toothpaste. Also has fluoride in it, usually on 3 for 2 in Boots. The garden mint one is also acceptable to me - tastes a bit like mint and the smell of fresh grass!

Thank you so much for this. he loves citrus flavours, so I am sure he'll like it. I did look in my nearest Boots but didn't see anything, but I'll try the main one in town. Is it with the other toothpastes?

It is :D usually hidden away on a lower shelf though. People probably think I work for this company as I recommend it so much but I didn't realise until last year than toothpaste wasn't meant to make your mouth feel like it's on fire!

    hi

my 2 hate the smell and taste of mint so they both use fennel.

I use fennel without flouride but they use a fennel one with flouride.
