Plusnet cheapest - is it suitable?

Would like to use their cheapest deal for Skype and bbc iplayer as well as surfing emails etc. Is it enough to do these??

Hi there,

I assume you're talking about the Value account with the 10GB of included usage, in which case it'd be fine for skype but possibly not for iPlayer usage depending on how often you'd be watching it. Half an hour of standard quality iPlayer video is I believe around 400MB so you'd probably get around 12 hours before you hit the usage limit (not counting other usage).

If you're happy to leave a computer on and downloading the programs overnight in order to watch the next day you'd be fine, as usage between midnight and 8am is free but we appreciate this isn't ideal for everybody.

I think most of the TV players have now moved away from download-and-play-later to live streaming, so the othernight free download is less useful.
