T Mobile Flext 35

Due to a massive change in circumstances I'm taking a live in job, and so wont have my land line anymore. I'm going to upgrade from PAYG to contract. And this seems a pretty good deal. Is it? I expect I'll be making regular calls to mobile xnetwork and landlines. Wheres the cheapest and most reliable place to get it from if I'm not worried about handsets etc (I already have one I could use if ness, but wouldn't say no to a different one :p )

  • I too would be interested in the answer to this question - I've been meaning to change providers for months now...and this does seem to be value for money.

Oh, welcome to MSE obicat :D

  • If you purchase it online or in a T-Mob shop they will give you up to 25% discount on line rental.

Also have a look at forum members site https://www.reestitmutton.co.uk he shows some good cash back deals for that tariff.See:

    Hi billsavings,

Thanks for the recommendation. However, I should point out that your last link doesn't actually take the user to the page for FlexT35 deals - it is simply a generic link for all detailed searches where the contents of the form are used to perform the search.

If you specifically wanted to point people at the full list of FlexT35 deals that are currently listed on the site, the link to use would be:

    http://www.reestitmutton.co.uk/MOBILES/index.php?query=tariff&value=49

Handy Hint: For any tariff-specific listing, the correct link to use can be found on any detailed information page for deals that involve that tariff in the "Related Searches" console on the right-hand side of the page.

Incidentally, it's worth noting that I have implemented a mechanism on my site that recognises that the monthly allowances with all FlexT tariffs are monetary-based and not a fixed number of texts and minutes. Thus you can input any number of minutes and texts in the detailed search console and, as long as these fall within the cost allowances of your chosen FlexT deal, they will be included in the results.

Also, the number of minutes and texts stated as an example in the search results table are dynamically adjusted to always be appropariate to the search criteria selected (with the default being more or less a 50/50 split in monetary terms if no search criteria are selected).

I actually implemented this mechanism a while back but missed the boat on decent FlexT deals to apply it to as T-Mobile drastically cut their commissions just before I was ready to release it on the site, thus removing all noteworthy FlexT deals from the database overnight.

Of course, now that T-Mobile have ploughed more money back into their tariffs the retailers are coming back with decenet deals once more, as the current contents of the database will show, and I suspect that this will remain so until at least the new year.

At this point I feel I should thank all members of the MoneySavingExpert forums for their continued support and words of encouragement, in particular anyone who willingly chose to purchase their contract through the Reestit Mutton site (a truly altruistic gesture indeed in the face of the quidco alternative) - it's people like you who make site improvements such as the one detailed above possible.

I've been looking at the T Mobile deals

RM... your search engine does not seem to offer any T Mobile on CPW / E2Save deals ( which I know aren't as good as the others ) ... my concern is that the reatilers offering the bigger cashbacks aren't the ones that I know much about

    Hi Payless,

Good to hear from you again.

The problem that I currently face is that I am working on a number of fronts while continuing to manually maintain the database contents - as such I wouldn't be doing justice to anyone if I spread myself too thinly.

For this reason I have value thresholds that I impose in order to maintain a manageable database size (which constantly varies from around 500 - 1000 deals at any one time). These value thresholds aren't set in stone - they can vary by network and also depend on the daily ebb and flow of deals that are available.

While CPW group companies are good at offering value clearance deals their new handset deals don't often reach the prevailing value thresholds. The only exceptions to this rule would be newer handsets that haven't yet attracted large amounts of cashback from the smaller retailers.

HOWEVER...I am working behind the scenes to slowly but surely improve the efficiency of the data maintenance operation by automating as much as I possibly can without compromising on either depth of information or quality...this is a slow painful process given the limited time constraints that I have (and the need to not compromise the current database content by allowing it to be neglected) but in time this work should bear fruit and allow the value thresholds to be extended further to the point that more CPW group deals with new handsets regularly feature on the site...I may also possibly consider a CPW-specific database for those not willing to go with the "also ran"s of the industry.

However, all this will take time and it is also dependent in a large way on the site continuing to earn a steady income from the people who place orders through it. Alas, the mere existence of cashback sites such as Quidco means that this last requirement is by no means assured. Believe me...I've discussed with my other half on more than one occasion the possibility of closing the site down and going back to a more traditional job - such are the needs of a growing family.

I hope this explains things sufficiently for you

CPW database .. good idea, as I'm sure there are others not keen on committing to the contracts if cashbacks are less likely to come.

    ---
cashbacksite ... must be hard, shame you can't charge a fee for your info !
-- have you tried the ebay option for selling contracts

Yes...and it's also shame that I simply don't have the time/energy/resources to also administer a cashback scheme myself on top of what I already do.

Not sure what you mean by the "ebay option" - if by that you mean using it as a source of advertising for the site then there's a large part of me that feels uncomfortable with the idea.

My honesty and integrity are a large part of what I and my website is known for and there's a very real danger that "selling info" on ebay (which is what it would amount to) would firmly place me alongside the many scamsters that aucton off information pertaining to pyramid scams (shudder).

I see what you mean - but there's a particular section for contact sales, rather than info, suppose though you are right , your site is more info- although I have seen others who are effectively mobileshop white label sites doing it

Yup...I have a particular dislike for white label sites as I get the distinct impression that a lot of them are only there for an easy buck...and we all know of at least one white label scheme that fits this description to a tee, don't we? <wink>

Addendum: It's also worth noting that white label sites, by their very nature, simply increase the level of noise and foster confusion among consumers while at the same time adding absolutely nothing of any note to the pot to compensate for this.
