pet cremation

Sorry to hear about your dog - I hope she pulls through!
I hope I'm not being insensitive, but to answer the original question about cremation, no I have had no dealings with that company, but I have found that every cremation company I have ever had dealings with, has acted in the most professional and sensitive way possible. You do not have to leave your pet at the vets to await collection, most companies are willing for you to take your pet there yourself. I have never done this, but a colleage did, and she was very impressed with the service. I think that was with Rossendales in Lancs, but it was years ago so am not 100% sure.I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I lost a hampster when I was a child, 8 or so, and although it was a really upsetting experience (the pet meant A LOT to me) I am glad I saw the process through and also don't be afraid to cry in front of your children, that was the first time I ever saw my dad cry and it made me feel better to know that he was feeling the same and that it was alright to feel sad.0

Had to have her put to sleep this morning she had tumours on her chest and windpipe. the vet was lovely and gave us time alone, it was very very sad she licked my sons and just quietly went to sleep.
I'm sat here typing this crying my eyes out and she was picked up an hour ago and is being crmeated at Rossendale, so that was comforting, about Rossendale from Tankgirl. sorry not making much sense now
Thanks everyoneStarting to save £2 coins again, but it is a struggle:rotfl:Not doing very well keep spending them

*hugs* I'm so sorry for your loss - I'm sure it's no consolation now but I'm sure she would have appreciated not having to suffer and being able to go surrounded by people who loved her. Also I think you did the right thing letting your sons be there - my dog had to be put to sleep when I was 15 and my mum and dad didn't actually tell me until after as they knew I would have wanted to go and would have been upset - I kind of understood but I would have liked to have been there anyway. Hope the cremation all goes ok x0
