It's bad enough having to pay the extra postage if you do stay in the Highlands but I've to pay it too just for having an IV postcode, it drives me nuts.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

If you can find what you want anywhere. You could pay over phone then i am sure if you give its location somebody could collect it and post it to you. Just a thought

It's not just living in the highlands that seems to incure penaltaies for postage now. (I used to live in Caithness, god's country!!!).
I now live in Aberdeenshire and I am still paying extra depending on the company sending the items. I am just selective from whom I buy things now.
I hope you manage to find what you are looking for. Depending on where you are, go to your local dressmakers, chances are they will be more than happy to help and make you exactly what you want and probably for a very good price.
Good luck......:jMini Coops arrived 2011:j0 -

£14.50 for shipping! One flipping table runner!
I've just called them and asked if a) that is correct and b) could they send it by parcel force or royal mail who wouldn't charge as much as that. Chap says they do send by parcel force, that's what they get charged and they don't make any profit on shipping. Rubbish! No way would parcel force charge £14.50 for that size/weight of parcel!
I don't believe him, he's a conning git and he's not getting business from me now, even if someone would pick it up for me.
*Sorry.

If it weighs 0.5kg and can go packet service with royal mail, postage should only be about £3? Royal mail surely don't charge extra to highlands do they? I appreciate it might take longer, but not cost more?
