sick deal with tesco mobile

I saw someone recommended tesco mobile on here the other day so gave them a call after looking at their website - ended up with a special offer its a £10 a month sim only.

To 'activate' the special offer i had to buy 2 but thats worth it and my brother is going to use the other one anyway.

So for 10 quid a month we will both be getting 500 minutes and unlimited texts along with 500 mb data more than enough for my iphone4!!

I wonder if you will still be jumping for joy the first time you go over your monthly data limit !!!!

Just beware as Tesco are the most expensive for out of bundle data. See active thread on the matter.

I was told there data is going to be significantly reduced, i dnt go over 100mb a month on my iphone anyway so i'll be safe!

Plus one of the bits of information they gave was tht there bills will only ever be 3x your tarriff so max i could get charged before being cut off would be £30.

"I was told" is NEVER good enough. Get it in writing - preferably their t&c at the time you buy. If not, then you have no leg to stand on. "Some bloke from Tesco told me............"??????????????????????


A post on here said they were reducing their charges from £4 per Mb to 60p. Check ASDA, GiffGaff and the major suppliers' costs. Tesco will still be more expensive.

Just do a bit of maths. At present, their 500Mb charges, if you inadvertently went over by that amount, would be £2000.

So do be very, very careful.

Like i said i dont use anyhwere near 500 mb don't think many people do, Plus my bill could only go to £30 before getting cut off!

My parents have been with tesco for years and always said how good they are and easy it is to keep an eye on your bill.

I think i'll be safe. For such a new mobile company they do really well plus u know tesco will do right for their customers.

Like I wrote before, until you see that in writing then you are very trusting to believe it. Take a look at this thread

That was someone who had a verbal offer from Vodafone, not Tesco, or so they thought. Take a look right through the thread.

No I know you have gone for the Tesco deal and if all goes well then it will be cheap for you, but if you take anything away from being a MSE member, then please remember "If I can't prove any offer was made, in any law case, it wasn't".

Ask to see the £30.00 cut off in writing and then, be a good MSE member for the rest of us, and tell us where it is, either on the web or in a pamphlet.

Law case, i only wanted a sim to send texts and look at facebook mate! I have no intention of going over my usage so have no idea why your jumping about going on about charges!
