Car insurance advice please

My car insurance expires soon and I have a few things to consider.
1. 24 yr old son has recently passed test and wants to use car to drive to work regularly. If he did he would be the main driver.
2. My husband is a named driver but has had to make 2 no fault claims on his own car insurance since he took it out last march.
How badly would these impact on the cost of my new policy?
Is it worth considering giving my son ownership of the car and letting him take out insurance in his name with me as a named driver?
Also maybe removing husband as named driver?
advice gratefully received.

You need to get some quotes from some insurance companies. What make/model of car is it??"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
-
You can find the answer to these questions by doing (anonymous) virtual online quotes, altering the cover/drivers required to meet your different scenarios to see what difference there is in the premiums.0
-
How do I do an anonymous quote? I thought these days the first thing you have to do is give name and address and loads of other details?0
-
No need to use your correct identity, but if you are worried then you can (definitely don't use your correct phone number unless you are happy to get cold calls from insurance companies).0

Will get some quotes and post back. Could b useful for others.0

Not possible to get quotes anonymously. You have to give all details including postcode, email address.0

Yep but they don't need to be real, make sure the postcode is right and make the rest up0

As already posted, only do this if you are happy to be spammed/phoned up etc.
It is possible to still get accurate quotes using famous names etc (eg. D Cameron/C Diaz)!0 -
or even infamous ones etc (eg. D Cameron/A Hitler)0

Well, I got some quotes on go compare and the best were of course with admiral and its sister companies. Surprise!
I have read so many bad things and negative reviews that i really don't want to go with these even though they are half the price of the next insurers. That said the reviews for the rest don't inspire me with confidence.
I'm with NFU at the moment, got a really good price for when I had my son as a learner driver on my policy, but the renewal premium has doubled as my 24 year old son ( named driver) has just passed his test. Thats to be expected. I can't imagine what the revised premium would be if he was the main driver! In fact they may not even quote for him as main driver as some other companies won't.
I don't think putting the car in his name and letting him take out insurance in his name with me as a named driver is any good either.
Am I right in thinking that I would. after 2 years. lose my 9 years ncb if i didn't have a car insurance in my name?
Can anyone recommend a decent insurer. For me claim handling is more important than price. I used to be with Direct Line but they got uncompetitive when my son started learning.I have'nt tried them this time.0
