silly question ........but not for me.

My t mobile phone is on husbands account. He is cancelling it as of tomorrow.
So questions are...............Can i keep same number? Will i have to buy new handset? Will all contacts etc be on phone or sim card? How do i save these?

    You can keep the same number - just request a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code), give it to your new provider and voila.

    If you're going on to a SIM only deal somewhere else you will probably be able to use the same handset, but you'll likely need to get it unlocked first if it came as part of a deal with T-mobile.

    The contacts could either be on the phone or the SIM - a lot of phones have software where you can upload the contacts to your computer.

    EDIT: misread your question at first - you can probably get the account in your name if you want to stay with T-mobile (they'll be able to sort it out for you). If you want to move to another provider just get your PAC and you're good to go.
