Well, I tried customer services and was on hold (at 10p per minute) for 20 mins before I decided that this is throwing good money after bad. There's no way of directly contacting these people that doesn't involve shelling out more cash. This is particularly annoying since it's obvious that they've made a mistake.

Anyway, I've submitted a query to their on-line help desk or whatever it is. Hopefully I won't just get an automated, "look at our FAQ" response.

  • I have an electron card but it is with my Halifax Easycash Account, which is their basic bank account.

I always knew there was an advantage to having no money.......I can book airplane tickets without a card charge - all I need now is the money!

I know it's not Fly Thomas Cook, but I've just paid the balance of my next holiday to Thomas Cook. No charge for my debit card.

Left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.

They operate as two separate companies, as far as I know.

This practice really pees me off. It costs the airlines about twenty pence to process a debit card transaction, irrespective of how many people are travelling, how many legs the journey is split into, or how many tickets are being purchased. It is just another rip off by these chancers.

I finally got an answer from the Fly Thomas Cook webteam and basically, they said, "Phone us on the 10p a minute number". I've requested a call back but it could be any time in the next 24 WORKING hours. This is ridiculous! After paying a grand for flights and *them* overcharging *me*, I have to phone them and pay another couple of pounds just so I can get a refund for £4.

Does anyone know if there's another way to contact them?

If (and it is a big if) that ever happens you can be guaranteed it will be at the wrong time.

All of this is to avoid refunding any money at all. They seem to be getting close the the crap service provided by RyanUnfair.
