Where to Buy White PVC Skirting?

Hi, we are doing up our bedroom, the original skirting I have had to remove as we are having fitted wardrobes etc. I was going to replace the skirting with white PVC ones, but I am having a devil of a job to find some. Any clues? B&Q only sell ones to match laminate flooring not white, have looked on the web but not many places and very expensive.

So surely someone must sell it at areasonable price....don't they???

Thanks,

D

I tried our local B&Q and no luck, also tried their website and none on there. I must admit have not tried a B&Q Warehouse, there is one on outskirts of Bristol so will go next weekend.

Never thought of Jewsons - thanks for that.

  • I'd go with bltchef, the local plastics warehouse / distributer is likely to be a lot cheaper than B&Q or general builders merchants.

  • try google, some lesser known but good cheaper companies may come up
  • Are you sure? It sounds pretty horrible to me to be honest.

I hate to say it but I agree with Donna-j, it's not really the norm to have UPVC skirting anywhere other than places requiring high levels of hygine and low maintainance such as hospitals. I doubt you will find it in any DIY shop for this very reason. As others have said try googling polymer skirting some manufacturers will come up who may be able to tell you where you can get them for non trade.

I don't think you will find any suppliers who are cheaper than timber though, so if you are selecting it for cheapness stick to timber.

We got ours from Wickes also. Would never go back to wood. I prefer things with low maintenance, where possible, why not? Also, if they are considered more hygenic, although I can't imagine why, then they are ideal for home, surely, especially with babies etc. Once you've tried pvc skirting, I'm sure that you will wonder why anyone would persist with wood.
