I've got my dress fitting this week and need to wear the underwear I plan to wear on the day...... I usually buy my underwear from Next but they have nothing "weddingy"...... and wasn't sure whether to go for a matching bra/knickers or a basque......
Just wondered what you plan to wear or did wear on your big day and can you recommend anywhere? Thanks x

I just wore knickers and hold up stockings but brought a basque for 'later'. My dress was tailor made so had built in support. Debenhams had a nice range a few years back.0

I've been looking for "weddingy" underwear, and find that most of it isn't very suitable.
Especially as I need flesh tones to go under my dress.
The best I've seen is in M&S of all places, but it's nothing fancy unfortunately.
So I'll just get a nice cami to change into for the evening0 -
I hope you have a wonderfull wedding day!
I treated myself to underwear from a firm called Sulis which have a website online, admitedly I did wear it on the honeymoon but it was beautiful quality silk bra knickers and suspender setworth a look, it is more expensive but ignore the mens g strings !! unless you want a heart attack! On my wedding day I did wear an m&s all in one thing that was nice but not as good as the honeymoon underwear!

I thought of wearing a basque but my dress is tight fitting past the hips and my basque spoilt the shape of the dress so I've gone with this http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_152010211386_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7ELingerie with some lacy knickers.
I've then bought something nice to slip into later on

Snap! My dress isn't even made yet so I might end up not needing it but I wore it on a night out this weekend and it has already proven its worth, I have never worn such a comfy strapless bra and after a fair lot of dancing it didn't budge an inch!! Sooo glad I bought it0 -

I second that bra! I'm a 36DD and hate strapless bras but this one is amazing. Also quite pretty. I think they do matching briefs/thongs but I've never found them in stock!0 -
I just wore Boxers, Like normal !!!0

I've got a special strapless bra from rigby and peller, but didn't like the matching pants.
So, because I normally have to wear very flat proper pants because i live in pencil skirts or leggings I'm going to buy very frilly very silly pants in a mad colour!saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
We're 29% of the way there...0 -
Depends on your dress...my dress was very fitted so it had to be seamless strapless bra and hold-me-in knickers! If you have good corsetting on your dress then you won't need a bra and then it will just depend on the skirt what type of knickers you have the choice of...
I'd focus on being comfy and looking good in your dress - you can always change into something else 'later' if that matters to you. I can't see how anyone has the energy after being on their feet all day to try and look extra alluring - after fighting out of my dress and taking the thousands of hairpins out my hair I looked like a mad woman anyway!0
