New-style Halifax online banking (again)

Hello
So I've posted twice saying I quite like it . . .
Going off it a bit now.
1. You can't change Payee Recipient's details without deleting and reinstating (obviously open to error)
2. You can add accounts to view (to check balances of little used account say) - but you can't remove accounts from view without calling the helpdesk
3. Once you've added a loan account - you CANNOT remove it, with or without helpdesk assistance
Going off it
Anyone had similar experiences?
BiB
(oh, and the links don't work on my smartphone!)
Grrrrrrrrrrr:mad:

Tell them about it!
onlinehelpdesk@halifax.co.uk
It's a new system that is still in the process of being implemented. If people tell them what they want from it, then you never know, they might make the necessary changes.
(For the phone bit - I believe that they are currently developing a smartphone app which will work much better on phones than online banking, as online banking is designed for computers).0 -
How do I get into the new version? It will only give me a preview/demo.0

Not everyone has it yet, Ive still got the old versionDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0

How do I get into the new version? .
When they move you on to it?
Mine's still 'old' ...... the wife's is 'new'. But at least I can interrogate a couple of 'payment' cases, on the joint account, which are to Halifax accounts. And don't make a lot of sense on the new version as the Roll Numbers have completely disappeared. And I've only ever used those to discriminate in the pastIf you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Ive found that with the new system as well, have only used the roll numbers in the past as it was easier to discriminate between accounts, now have to learn account numbers instead0
-
Well I hate the new system! On my Credit Card I can't see any existing direct debits set up. I had to phone them up earlier to confirm it was still set up.
I don't like having to put in my password again to do transfers, it's suppose to increase security, but if people have your details anyway, what's the point? And if you do leave it open on a public computer, then that person's stupid, and it also times you out.0 -

Although I do have 2 x Halifax credit cards. As the payment function only gives sort code and account number up front I can't tell which card I'm going to be paying until a third screen.
The solution? Close one of the credit cards!0 -
Question to anyone who knows (although I'm guessing opinions4u might be a good bet on this one?) - remember the "find out what overdraft you're automatically approved for" trick on Halifax old-style banking? The one where you stuck in some high figure and rather than approving/failing the request, it told you what you *would* be approved for? Can you still do that now on the new-style Halifax banking?0

.
Go in to your online banking, click on the current account and you'll have 3 lines like:
REWARD CURRENT ACCOUNT
11-00-01 12345678
Change my overdraft limit
Click on the obvious one and take it from there.
EDIT: I think it works as it always used to.0
