Porting number to Orange PAYG - mega confusion. Advice?
Ordered Orange online sim about a month ago.
Activated it monday after 6pm and was told I would have to call again tomorrow to get the number port sorted out. So just activated the sim.
Today called orange registrations helpline and asked to bring my number from O2 giving the PAC and number to bring over etc. The guy put me on hold and came back saying the number portability department said the number I gave and the pac code did not match. I said they definitely did and quoted the expiry date (26th November). Nevertheless he repeated this, told me to contact O2 customer services to get another PAC code, so I thanked him for his time and hung up.
Later called the Mobile Number Portability department at orange directly at 0800 376 2285. Gave them all my details again including pac code and number to be ported. Short pause. He said my port had already been put on the system yesterday (he also quoted the time but can't remember) and I said well "that's not possible, I didn't give my PAC code or number to be ported then". He just went on to repeat what he said and gave me a date and time for the port which was 21st between 11am and 4pm.
I haven't received any text updates. Does anyone know how or when I will find out whether the port will happen - or is it worth giving Orange MNP department another call to make sure everything is as it should be?
Also does anyone know whether or not I am likely to get the free evening calls on Orange PAYG (that are only just mentioned on the website recently) given that I only just activated, yet got my sim a good few weeks back?
Thanks in advance.

give MNP them another ring and get them to reciete back the details to you (ie the no to be ported and PAC code) just to be sure they havent mixed up any details
the promo is only concerned with when you register your details with them
give CS a ring and ask them to make sure the promo is on your accountYes Your Dukeiness0
