I'm a Times online subscriber and needed to speak to them today re an issue with the app on my iPad...I mentioned the probs re the
Sunday Times comp yesterday and he asked me if I'd entered today, I hadn't as the app had given me a few probs and I did not get my Times download until 9.30am, I remarked that I must have missed out on a few entries because of this, but he said I had not as they were changing it to be 1 entry per person per IP address to be entered into all the draws, this was because of all the probs that trying to enter once every hour had caused yesterday.

Can I take it that we should not be entering every hour or in a partners name as well?

I interpreted it as 1 entry per person or 1 entry per IP address .. I think seems reasonable in a sense that they are facing problems managing entries from 1 per person only.

I've been entering twice per hour,in two names as per.................. One entry per person per Hour

I think it is right under the current terms and conditions .. but if they change it to 1 entry per IP address and that is not reflected in the T&C .. everyone would disqualify themselves .. I am not sure The Time list their T&C really clearly on the website ... to be safe I am just making one entry under my name only. If I am to win ... I would win ...

I entered once after I had spoken to this guy this morning and to check just now after my previous post I just logged back on and filled in the details again and got the message that I'd already entered...so maybe it's different for subscribers and non subscribers....
The only other slightly interesting fact is that I was unable to enter the comp via my iPad as the DOB details could not be seen ( just day and month was visible not the year) so I used my laptop and got a full entry form...maybe they think if you already have an iPad you don't want another, or they don't want to let you win one....but I would love one for my hubby as he always takes ages to read the Sunday Times using it and I have to revert to my laptop, which is not as good.

don't think can discriminate btw subscribers and non-subscribers .. already I see they have difficulty managing the existing entry system .. how would they manage to do that :rotfl:

hahaha .. I have been trying so hard to win one bullshot .. but haven't been able to. lady luck has deserted me .. as u can see no wins in my signature yet. I just hope once it comes .. it comes big .. I request all MSE to pray for me

The form looks the same but I accessed it after logging in, so whether or not they can see who are suscribers and who are not from that,who knows, but when I phoned the guy this morning , he knew my details, name etc..re subscription without me giving him any personal info, he must have got it from my telephone number being displayed...I'm always surprised when I phone Trailfinders and they know it's me....
